“Chiikawa” is a popular manga that illustrator Nagano began posting in 2020 on X (formerly Twitter). It won the Grand Prix at the “Japan Character Awards 2022” and again at the “Japan Character Awards 2024” announced in July 2024. The contrast between the cute, small characters and the series’ sometimes severe world has won wide popularity from children to adults, and the series now boasts more than 4.17 million followers.

The new series of the “Chiikawa” anime starts airing from July 15 on “Mezamashi TV” (around 7:40 am). The ending video, featuring Hachiware singing “Hitorigotsu,” has been newly updated.
