Up until now, Bo-chan has rarely been in the limelight, but in this film, his new sides, including the strength and inner struggles he has never shown before, are carefully depicted. Chie Satō, who voices Bo-chan, reflected on playing these changes, saying, "Usually, he’s a laid-back, easygoing child, and when it comes to things he likes, like stones or dinosaurs, he pursues them with great earnestness. That’s why I pay attention to his unwavering core and steadiness when acting. I made sure not to make him suddenly become a different character in this film, so I gradually changed the tone from the first stage toward the final form. In his final form, I tried to make his way of speaking more like a young boy, and also to seem more mature." She added, "Maybe what Bo-chan truly wanted was just to dance with everyone in India," gently capturing the unchanging Bo-chan within his transformation.

Yumiko Kobayashi, who voices Shinnosuke, also commented, "I’ve always thought the five members of the Kasukabe Defense Force are amazing, and that none of them can be missing; every one of them is a vital piece. Bo-chan, too, is someone very special to Shinnosuke. That’s why, rather than simply wanting to save him as he changes, Shinnosuke’s honest wish was just to play together again—that’s what he truly felt." She spoke of the strong bond between the two, emphasizing that Shinnosuke’s unwavering, straightforward desire to "play together again with his beloved friend" and not adult reasoning or logic, lies at the heart of their relationship.

The newly released scene photo is a particularly memorable moment from the film, capturing the first meeting between Shinnosuke and Bo-chan. At the Futaba Kindergarten entrance ceremony, the gaze exchanged between young Shinnosuke and Bo-chan, who is playing alone with a rock, conveys a warm memory and a quiet sense of the special connection between the two. This fateful encounter is the reason they are where they are now. The beginnings of their friendship—the bond that needs no words—are softly illustrated in gentle colors, making this scene one of the most emotionally moving in the entire story.
