Episode 18: “Kara-chan and Shiki / The Tumult of Beadmania / Scramble Scrap Squad”
[Synopsis]
Nico and Kukumi are helping out at the shrine where Kara Minami’s father serves as chief priest, both dressed as shrine maidens. While assisting, Nico uses a spell called Anicut on the paper used for making shide ornaments, creating a moving paper cat. Inspired, Kara tries to make a bird and launch it into the sky, but it turns out awkwardly shaped and can’t fly. However, because Kara cut it out so clumsily, it ends up looking like a “shikigami”—and somehow, it seems to have given rise to a kind of persistent life force…!
