Limited videos grouped by theme will be distributed for a limited time on the official "Chiikawa" anime X (formerly Twitter) account starting August 4. In addition, a special project involving hashtags will also be held.
Chiikawa is a popular manga series created by illustrator Nagano, which began its serialization on X (formerly Twitter) in 2020. The series won the Grand Prix at the Japan Character Awards 2022, and again at the Japan Character Awards 2024 announced in July 2024. The charming contrast between the tiny, adorable characters and the harsh world they inhabit has garnered broad popularity among both adults and children, amassing over 4.17 million followers to date.
The new series of the Chiikawa anime began airing on July 15 within the “Mezamashi TV” program (from around 7:40 a.m.). The ending sequence, featuring Hachiware singing “Hitorigotsu,” has been given a fresh update.
The limited videos organized by theme will showcase features that highlight the charm of the characters, as well as special segments exploring character relationships, allowing both newcomers and longtime Chiikawa fans alike to enjoy the anime anytime and anywhere via easily accessible content.
