The broadcast included the “Say You To Yo Asobi AD Recruitment Test” segment, aiming to assess Kawashima’s suitability for the AD role. The first task was the “Super Speed! Script Stapling Challenge”—competing with show AD, Haryu, to quickly organize 100 sheets of paper into scripts, ten pages at a time, and staple them together. Seki, acting as the director, pressured Kawashima with remarks like “Kawashima, hurry up!” and “Morikubo’s about to arrive!” Though Kawashima worked desperately under pressure, the experienced Haryu ultimately won the race.

For the next tasks, Kawashima attempted “Negotiate by Phone! Location Preparation Challenge,” in which he had to call a ramen shop owner portrayed by Seki and gather necessary information for a location shoot, and “Guess the Say You To Yo Asobi MCs’ No.1 Bento Choice!” where he tried to determine the favorite bento of each of the show’s MCs, based on their preferences. However, he struggled with both challenges, realizing firsthand the difficulties of being an AD.

The final challenge was “Stay Positive and Energetic at All Times! The Scolding Challenge.” This segment tested whether he could remain upbeat no matter what, an essential AD trait for keeping the set lively, even in tough situations. For the “Scolding Proxy” service, Akari Mizuki, known as the “scariest woman,” appeared to scold him. Mizuki delivered harsh words such as, “You’re hopeless as a voice actor, too,” and “You want to stop wasting money? You say you have no money, but you just buy useless things—at least bring your wife some flowers instead.”

There were moments when Kawashima was at a loss for words, but at the end he was encouraged by, “You’ll do better next time, right? Show your worth as a voice actor first, quit wasting money, and aim higher.” Kawashima expressed renewed resolve, saying, “I feel energized! I’ll do my best—aiming for the top!”

After the scolding time ended, Seki delivered his final verdict. Citing “Because you looked a little down midway,” Seki ruled the challenge a failure, and ultimately, Kawashima was not offered the AD position. Having experienced just how tough the AD’s job can be, when asked again if he wanted to try being an AD, Kawashima immediately answered, “My motivation has dropped a bit.” The challenge segment concluded with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
