Episode 17: "Attaining the Sword"
[Synopsis]
It is March, 1864 (Genji 1). Jinya receives a request from Yasuhide Hatakeyama, a retainer of the Aizu Clan loyal to the shogunate. The request is to slay a demon named Kiichi Okada, whom Yasuhide commands. Okada is the most skilled among Yasuhide’s subordinates, but he has now turned into a manslayer—even mercilessly cutting down not only those who support the opening of the country or foreigners, but also samurai in the anti-foreigner faction, as well as women and children.
