"Ribon Festa 2025" to be held from Friday, August 1: Life-size panels of special illustrations by legends like Ai Yazawa, Koi Ikeno, and more, plus special exhibitions

The girls' manga magazine "Ribon," celebrating its 70th anniversary, will host "Ribon Festa 2025" for six days from Friday, August 1 to Wednesday, August 6 at the 1st and 7th floors of SHIBUYA TSUTAYA.

"Ribon" is a girls' manga magazine first published in August 1955. Rather than "comics for children," it is renowned for serializing "classic girls' manga works that even adults want to read," earning fervent support from fans of all ages.

At the event, life-size panels featuring newly drawn illustrations by eight legendary manga artists, including Ai Yazawa and Koi Ikeno, as well as active creators, will be on display. There will also be exhibitions of memorable scenes and covers highlighting the 70-year history of Ribon.

Additionally, on the 1st floor, many limited-edition goods using the specially drawn illustrations will be sold. A limited-time collaboration cafe will also be operating, and visitors can participate in a lottery by bringing the magazine. The event is completely cashless; cash payments are not accepted. Credit cards, electronic money (including transportation IC cards), and barcode payments are available.
