Currently, the anime "The Apothecary Diaries," based on the light novel by Hyuganatsu, is available for streaming. It has been adapted into manga in two monthly magazines, with the series exceeding 40 million copies in circulation. The TV anime aired consecutively for two seasons starting in October 2023, gaining significant attention for its mystery drama featuring Maomao working as a "food taster" in the inner palace, as well as the comical exchanges between Maomao and Jinshi. The second season of the anime is set to air in January 2025, and the announcement for a sequel was made in July.
