“Scariest Episode So Far” “I Can’t Bathe Alone Anymore” — Dreaded Wig Ghost Terrifies Fans in Episode 5 of The Summer Hikaru Died

The fifth episode of the horror anime The Summer Hikaru Died began airing sequentially from August 2nd. The story features a character having a terrifying encounter with a supernatural entity while bathing alone, causing viewers to shudder with reactions like, “Hair horror is the scariest,” and “This is the kind of thing that will make me unable to bathe alone!!”

In Episode 5, “The Wig Ghost,” Yoshiki Tsujinaka’s (voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi) younger sister, Kaoru Tsujinaka (voiced by Seika Hirose), is taking a shower at night when long strands of hair begin to wrap around her legs. Confused, as all her family members have short hair, Kaoru grows uneasy. Then, she notices black hair dangling from the gap between the bathtub and its lid.

Just as she reaches out to touch it, saying, “What is this?” the hair snaps back into the bathtub. Terrified, Kaoru scrambles out, yelling, “No, no, no!” and runs to the changing room. When she hears a strange noise and turns around instinctively, she sees long black hair stuck all over the bathroom door—. This “Wig Ghost” later goes on to harm Yoshiki in the bathroom as well.
