Ichikawa: For me, that’d be my smartphone. I forget things all the time—even if I have plans with someone, I often forget what’s going on, and only remember when they remind me, “It’s tomorrow, right?” I want something to manage all of that for me.
Hanamori: So, you want a secretary.
Ichikawa: Yeah, like a secretary.
Hanamori: Like, “You have a Gachiakuta interview at 10 AM tomorrow.”
Ichikawa: Exactly, I want to be told everything.
Matsuoka: For me, maybe my house. If my house had a soul, I think I’d be kinder about everything.
Hanamori: Like you’re being nurtured inside it.
Ichikawa: If you made it mad, your house would melt.
Konishi: “The bath stings today…” kind of feeling.
Hanamori: For me, since I was a kid, it’s always been dolls. Like Toy Story, I used to wonder if they’d move around while I was asleep, or like the Elves and the Shoemaker, wouldn’t it be nice if they did little chores for me? I want to believe they might be alive.
Matsuoka: I’d love if my script could be reviewed while I slept.
Hanamori: “They even highlighted the lines!” (laughs).
Ichikawa: It’d be great if they wrote little notes and things too.
Hanamori: In the end, I guess we all just want a secretary (laughs).
Konishi: For me, probably the fridge. One that would automatically thaw frozen food or warn me before things expire, or even make ice on its own.
Hanamori: So basically, we all just want a secretary (laughs).
Ichikawa: I guess we just want to be managed.
