The TV anime “Dealing with Mikadono Sisters Is a Breeze” is based on the manga of the same name, serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday. The original series is a popular hit with over 1.5 million copies sold. It depicts the daily life of protagonist Yū Ayase, who comes to live in a mansion with the three Mikadono sisters—Kazuki, Niko, and Miwa—and gradually becomes family.

The anime features Minami Hinata as Yū Ayase, Yurina Amami as Kazuki Mikadono, Aoi Koga as Niko Mikadono, and Yoshino Aoyama as Miwa Mikadono. In an interview with these four voice actresses, they were asked what they would do if they found themselves in the same situation as Yū. Each of them gave answers that showcased their unique personalities.

—In the beginning of the story, Yū gets closer to the three sisters by cooking for them as a way to become family. If you were in Yū’s position and had to live in that house, what approach would you take to become family with the sisters?

Amami: I see, that’s an interesting question.

Hinata: Well, first of all, Yū is a unique type of person who finds joy in seeing others happy.

Hinata: So, I think it would be a bit difficult for me to interact with others while always thinking of what would benefit everyone, like Yū does. I’m not a genius, but as a voice actress, maybe I would work hard to improve my acting skills so I could stand on the same level as the sisters and get them to notice me.
