Latest Volume 14 of "Made in Abyss" Released on August 8! New Theatrical Anime Series Also Announced

The latest, 14th volume of the manga series "Made in Abyss" (author: Akihito Tsukushi), which has surpassed a total of 22 million copies in circulation, was released by Takeshobo on August 8.

[Synopsis]
Riko, Reg, Nanachi, and Faputa join the exploration party "Curse Fleet" led by Sovereign of Mystery Srajo to begin their challenge of the Seventh Layer of the Abyss. Proceeding with heightened vigilance in the unknown environment, the party is suddenly attacked by a mysterious gigantic creature, and Nanachi is taken away. Without delay, Faputa and Yataramaru rush out to rescue Nanachi, only to encounter the gruesome sight of Nanachi, gravely wounded and on the verge of death.

■New Theatrical Anime Series Announced! Part 1 to Be Released in 2026

It has also been announced that a new theatrical anime series is in production. The first installment, "Made in Abyss: Mezameru Shinpi," is scheduled to premiere in 2026 and will be a direct sequel to the TV anime Season 2, "The Golden City of the Scorching Sun." Animation production will again be handled by Kinema Citrus, known for their work on previous "Made in Abyss" projects as well as series such as "The Rising of The Shield Hero" and "My Happy Marriage."
