In Episode 18, titled “We Became a Family,” the band HAYASii appeared, sporting flashy makeup reminiscent of 1990s visual kei, to provide exorcism festival music. The vocalist, Toshiro, fired up the crowd by shouting lines like “Hey! You all better get fired up!” and “Come at me, all of you!” Then, with a scream of “Exorcism time!!”, he launched into the performance of the song “Hunting Soul,” revving up the atmosphere with intense headbanging and drum playing.

The role of Toshiro was played by Kishō Taniyama, a voice actor known for his singing ability who is also the vocalist for the popular rock unit GRANRODEO. Furthermore, the song “Hunting Soul” had lyrics, composition, and arrangement by Seiichi Nagai; produced by Kensuke Ushio; with guitar by Marty Friedman, drums by CHARGEEEEEE..., and bass by Wakazaemon—an impressive lineup.

The dynamic performance scenes became the talk of social media, with reactions such as “This is exactly the correct way to use Kishō Taniyama,” “His singing is honestly so good that it’s basically a full-on live,” and “The song and the performance were so incredible, my very soul got swept away…”
