The anime "The Shy Hero and the Assassin Princesses" is based on the manga by Norishiro-chan, with illustrations by Yukiji Setsuda. [Synopsis]
The person who appears before Ciel is Hapi Quneile, a member of the Demon King's elite guard and mentor. Her goal was to take Ciel back to the Demon King’s castle if she judged that the "Rite of Passage" had come too soon. As painful memories of being envied and despised flash by, she vows to assassinate Hapi. The next day, sensing the tense situation, Gore advises Toto to undertake a mission with Ciel. Inspired by a recent promotion exam, Ciel takes Toto to a certain dungeon.
