Cycomi’s “Kanade no Lala” to Become a TikTok Short-Form Drama Starring Aya Ogawa of Nogizaka46! Streaming Begins Late August with Cast Comments Included

The coming-of-age manga “Kanade no Lala,” currently serialized on the manga distribution service Cycomi and written by Ruka Nishimiya, will be adapted into a live-action vertical short drama. It is set to be distributed from late August via the official TikTok short drama account. The drama will consist of 10 episodes, with Aya Ogawa from Nogizaka46 starring as the protagonist, Lala Tanaka.

“Kanade no Lala” is a youth drama manga set in the world of art. The story follows Lala, a modern high school girl obsessed with makeup, who meets Kanade Kuga, a classmate and genius painter. Inspired by his art, she sets her sights on joining the art club and challenges herself by entering an art competition.

Regarding her role, Aya Ogawa commented, “Lala is a super outgoing gal but still feels like something is missing.
