"SAKAMOTO DAYS" is based on the popular manga by Yuto Suzuki, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (published by Shueisha), which has surpassed a worldwide total of 15 million copies in circulation. The story is a “neo-action tale blending daily life and extraordinary events,” following Tarō Sakamoto (voiced by Tomokazu Sugita), the strongest hitman who has retired and now runs the peaceful Sakamoto Store in a quiet town. To protect his beloved family and their peaceful everyday, he takes on the never-ending stream of assassins who come after him. The highly anticipated second cour of the anime began broadcasting in July 2025.

[Synopsis]
Sakamoto, after listening in on the apartment, learns that the death-row inmates are merely decoys meant to distract ORDER and that X (Slur)’s true goal is to destroy the Assassin Association. Sakamoto and his companions immediately head to the Association, but the Kanto branch has already begun to suffer an assault by X and his group. As Gaku, one of X’s members, attacks assassin after assassin, Takamura—the ghost of ORDER—makes his appearance… Amidst the attack, Sakamoto storms the Association and is shocked by the true identity of X, whom he had been pursuing all along!
