TV Anime "Kingdom" Season 6 Premieres on NHK General from October 4! Main Visual & Five Additional Cast Members for the Qin Army Revealed

The sixth season of the TV anime "Kingdom" will begin airing on NHK General on October 4 (Saturday) from 24:10. Along with this announcement, a main visual depicting Shin (Xin), Ō Hon (Wang Ben), Mō Ten (Meng Tian), and Ō Sen (Wang Jian) heading into a fierce battle over Yè has been released. In addition, five new Qin army characters and their respective cast members have been announced.

"Kingdom" is set in China's Warring States period and follows the story of a boy named Shin (Xin), who aspires to become a great general under the heavens, and the young king Ei Sei (Ying Zheng), who would later become the First Emperor of Qin. The work is based on a manga by Yasuhisa Hara, currently serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha). The total number of comic volumes printed has surpassed 110 million copies. In 2024, the fourth live-action film "Kingdom: The Return of the Great General" was released, achieving a box office revenue of 8 billion yen. Seasons 1 through 5 of the TV anime series have been broadcast to date.

The unveiled main visual features Shin (Xin), Mō Ten (Meng Tian), Ō Hon (Wang Ben), and Ō Sen (Wang Jian), the commander-in-chief of the Yè capture operation. In Shin's hand is the glaive entrusted to him by Ō Ki (Wang Qi), and the visual powerfully portrays the four as they prepare to confront the coming battle against Zhao.
