"The Summer Hikaru Died" (abbreviated as "Hikanatsu") is based on the youth horror manga by Mokumokuren, currently serialized on the manga site Young Ace UP (KADOKAWA). The story revolves around Yoshiki Tsujinaka, an ordinary high school boy, as he experiences a series of mysterious and bizarre incidents in his everyday life with “Something” that imitates his childhood friend Hikaru.
