Betsucomi 55th Anniversary Exhibition to Be Held in Shinjuku—Giant Videos and Original Artwork Displays Featuring Famous Scenes from "The Poe Clan," "BASARA," "BANANA FISH," and More

To commemorate the 55th anniversary of the founding of Shogakukan's shoujo manga magazine "Bessatsu Shoujo Comic" (now "Betsucomi"), which was first published in 1970, a special exhibition titled "Betsucomi 55th ANNIV. BEYOND THE PAGE: The Continuation of Love" will be held from Friday, October 3rd to Monday, October 13th (holiday) at LUMINE 0, 5th floor of NEWoMan Shinjuku.

At this exhibition, iconic scenes from popular titles such as "The Poe Clan," "BASARA," and "BANANA FISH" will be screened on a gigantic widescreen theater approximately 4 meters high and over 20 meters wide. Sixteen works will be compiled into an original 20-minute video, allowing visitors to experience an immersive space created with the latest technology.

Additionally, the exhibition will include displays of original artwork from over 50 titles, invaluable materials showcasing both analog and digital creation processes, time-lapse videos of drawing scenes, and giant photo spots.

Furthermore, original goods exclusive to the event and official Shogakukan merchandise will be available for purchase at the venue. For every 3,000 yen spent (tax included), customers can receive a limited-edition “ticket-style clear card” (even visitors without an event ticket are eligible to purchase goods).
