――What aspects were you aiming to express with this cosplay, and what parts do you particularly like?

Akizawa: I thought bringing a weapon was a must so I could try a wide variety of poses, so for this event, I painted a water gun to bring with me! It’s not exactly like the cool guns from the series, but I hope I managed to capture the right vibe...

――What was your introduction to “Ghost in the Shell”?

Akizawa: I’m a fan of Atsuko Tanaka, who voices Motoko, so I recently started watching the “Ghost in the Shell” anime. It’s such a great series—I honestly regret not discovering it sooner.

――If there are any other characters you’d like to cosplay in the future, please let us know.

Akizawa: I’d like to do a group cosplay with Motoko standing alongside Batou and Tachikoma, so I hope to keep cosplaying characters from “Ghost in the Shell”!
