"Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" is the latest entry in the "Mobile Suit Gundam" series, which has continued since 1979. The story follows high school girl Amate Yuzuriha, who lives peacefully in a space colony, but is drawn into the illegal mobile suit dueling sport, "Clan Battle," after meeting a mysterious girl named Nyaan.

A co-production between Studio Khara, known for the "Rebuild of Evangelion" series, and Sunrise, the project has received significant attention. The theatrical advance version, released in January this year ahead of the TV broadcast, was a huge box office hit, earning approximately 3.4 billion yen. Even after the 12-episode TV run concluded in June of the same year, new merchandise continues to be released, and an original soundtrack is scheduled for release on August 27, perpetuating the series' high level of popularity. In July, a special event was held at "Anime Expo 2025," the largest anime event in North America, which took place in Los Angeles.
