“Shin-Gekijōban Gintama: Yoshiwara Daienjō” Announced for 2026 Theatrical Release! Latest PV & KV for “GINTAMA - Mr. Ginpachi's Zany Class” Anime Airing October 2025 Also Revealed

It has been announced that “Shin-Gekijōban Gintama: Yoshiwara Daienjō” will be released in theaters in 2026. Alongside this news, a teaser trailer and a newly drawn teaser visual by original author Hideaki Sorachi have been unveiled. Additionally, it was announced that the TV anime adaptation of the spin-off novel “GINTAMA - Mr. Ginpachi's Zany Class” will begin airing every Monday at 24:00 starting October 6 on TV Tokyo and other networks.

The setting for “Shin-Gekijōban Gintama: Yoshiwara Daienjō” is the underground red-light district city of Yoshiwara. Ruled by the Night King, Hōsen, the city has lost its light. Into this world step the Odd Jobs trio—Gintoki Sakata, Shinpachi Shimura, and Kagura. The teaser trailer kicks off with Gintoki’s passionate words, “You can’t put out my fire. You’ll never extinguish our fire.” Besides the Odd Jobs members—Gintoki, Shinpachi, and Kagura—the trailer features characters appearing in the “Yoshiwara in Flames” arc, such as Tsukuyo, Seita, Hinowa, Kamui, and Hōsen. It also depicts Katsura, once Gintoki’s comrade of the Joi rebels who did not appear in this episode of the original manga, along with the Shinsengumi members Kondo, Hijikata, Okita, and Yamazaki.

At the end of the footage, Gintoki is shown quietly standing up amidst fierce flames, giving a glimpse into the intense battles, clashing souls, and the grand scale and fresh drama unique to a theatrical release.
