"Chiikawa" is a popular manga by illustrator Nagano, serialized on X (formerly Twitter) since 2020. It won the Grand Prix at the Japan Character Awards 2022 and again at the Japan Character Awards 2024, announced in July of that year. Its combination of small, cute characters and a surprisingly harsh worldview has broad appeal for both adults and children, and the account now has over 4.19 million followers.

The new series of the "Chiikawa" anime is being broadcast within Fuji TV's "Mezamashi TV" from July 15, 2025. Additionally, on July 28, an interactive facility called "Chiikawa Park" opened at Ikebukuro's Sunshine City Annex.
