The Only One to Rely On Is Sazanami... Anime “Tougen Anki” Episode 7 Synopsis & Preview Stills Released

The synopsis and preview stills for Episode 7 of the anime “Tougen Anki” have been released.

“Tougen Anki” is based on the manga by Yura Urushibara, which is currently serialized in “Weekly Shonen Champion” (Akita Shoten) and has surpassed 4 million copies in total circulation. Drawing inspiration from the classic Japanese folktale “Momotaro,” the story depicts a conflict between those who inherit the blood of Oni (demons) and those who inherit the blood of Momotaro.

Shiki Ichinose (Voiced by Kazuki Ura), a boy living as an ordinary human, is suddenly attacked one day by a mysterious man belonging to the “Momotaro Agency.” While fleeing with his adoptive father, he discovers that their pursuers are descendants of Momotaro from the folktales, and that he himself carries the blood of the Oni. This is a modern tale of the descendants of Momotaro and Oni, different from the old story of “once upon a time, there lived an old man and an old woman.”
