“Bold Animation” and “Cool Camera Work”—Shin vs. Mafuyu Fires Up Fans With Dynamic In-Flight Battle of Bullets and Kicks in "SAKAMOTO DAYS Part 2" Episode 17

Episode 17 of the anime "SAKAMOTO DAYS Part 2," which began airing sequentially from August 18, featured a fierce battle between Shin Asakura (voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki) and the new character Mafuyu Seba (voiced by Daiki Yamashita). Their fight was brought to life with daring camera work and high-speed, dynamic animation, drawing online praise such as “The animation is much more experimental than before.”

In Episode 17, titled "Have a nice flight," Shin faces off on an airplane against Mafuyu, who is also taking the JCC transfer exam. Mafuyu, revealing a blade hidden in his shoe, declares, “I’m a clean freak, so I don’t like to get my own hands dirty,” then mercilessly launches a flurry of kicks at Shin’s face. Shin quickly bends backward to avoid the blade and counterattacks with his gun. However, Mafuyu remains undaunted, unleashing a rapid and relentless assault.
