![[Photos/Images] Did They Really Turn the Most Important Scenes into Flashbacks!? The Shocking Differences Between the Theatrical and TV Versions of "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" 1st](https://times-abema.ismcdn.jp/mwimgs/a/6/724w/img_a658962cc9dd2b2f13ae3799c619ec131115465.png)
Prior to its television broadcast, a restructured theatrical version featuring selected episodes was released nationwide for the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX." However, episode 2 of the TV series introduced a major alteration distinct from the film version, which caused a significant stir online.
In episode 2, the story rewinds to the Universal Century year 0079, depicting the One Year War between the Principality of Zeon and the Earth Federation Forces. The "Red Comet" of Zeon, Char Aznable (CV: Yūki Shin), orchestrated a defense operation when the Earth Federation Forces attempted to crash the space fortress Solomon into the lunar city of Granada. However, in the midst of this, Char went missing after the red Gundam’s psycommu system ran out of control.
Up to this point, the developments are the same as in the theatrical version. However, while the theatrical version detailed the events surrounding the so-called “Zeknova Incident” from Char’s perspective, the TV version only briefly explained the general outline as a flashback of Principality of Zeon Army Lieutenant Colonel Challia Bull (CV: Shinji Kawada).
