Fourth PV, New Characters, Cast, and Fourth Key Visual Revealed! Anime "Tougen Anki" Second Cour Nerima Arc to Air from October!

It has been announced that the second cour, Nerima Arc, of the anime "Tougen Anki" will begin airing from October. In addition, the fourth promotional video, new characters and cast, and the fourth key visual have been released.

"Tougen Anki" is based on the manga by Yura Urushibara, which is currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten) and has surpassed a total of 4 million copies in circulation. The story uses the famous Japanese folktale "Momotaro" as its motif and depicts the conflicts between those who inherit the blood of Oni and those who inherit the blood of Momotaro.

Shiki Ichinose (voiced by Kazuki Ura), a boy who had been living as an ordinary human, is suddenly attacked one day by a mysterious man from the "Momotaro Agency." As Shiki flees with his adoptive father, he learns that the pursuers are descendants of Momotaro from the old folktale, and discovers that he himself is a descendant of the Oni. This is the story of modern descendants of Momotaro and Oni, quite different from the old tale of “Once upon a time, there were an old man and an old woman…”

During the "TV Anime 'Tougen Anki' Special Program: Rashomon Academy Arc" aired on August 20, it was announced that the second cour, the Nerima Arc, will air in October. The fourth promotional video features a slew of new characters from both the Oni Agency, which protagonist Shiki Ichinose belongs to, and the opposing Momotaro Agency, and hints at the outbreak of an even fiercer conflict.

Announced new cast for the upcoming characters include Atsushi Tamaru as Masumi Yodogawa and Haruki Ishiya as Kaoru Namikido from the Oni Agency; Chiharu Sawashiro as Shinya Momoiwa, Shunichi Toki as Mikado Momodera, Shintaro Asanuma as Tsukuyomi Momoka, and Yūki Ono as Osuke Momokado from the Momotaro Agency. The newly released key visual depicts both the protagonist Shiki Ichinose and Mikado Momodera—who, despite being part of the Momotaro Agency, becomes friends with Shiki without knowing he is an Oni—with intense, determined expressions.

Also, information on the OP and ED songs for the Nerima Arc has been unveiled. The Nerima Arc opening theme will be "Amidakuji" by Chogakusei, and the ending theme will be "ACTION" by eill.
