A Head That's 4.3 Wigs! Stunning Cosplay of 'Umamusume' Biwa Hayahide Faithfully Recreates the Original

——What inspired you to cosplay as Biwa Hayahide from "Umamusume: Pretty Derby" this time?

Rirurun: I have loved Biwa Hayahide for a long time, and it's been almost four years since I first started cosplaying as Hayahide in the autumn of 2021.

I adore the character's personality, appearance, and racing outfit. It makes me so happy to represent my favorite character, and even now, if I don't cosplay as Hayahide at least once a month, I start thinking, "I haven't cosplayed as Hayahide recently, I want to do it!" and end up scheduling a shoot as a dedicated fan of Hayahide.

I participate in Wonder Festival every time because I can meet many acquaintances, and when it comes to cosplay opportunities, I always end up thinking, "I want to participate as Hayahide." So, I decided on Hayahide in the Tracen Academy summer uniform for this cosplay.

——What aspects did you want to express or are particularly fond of in this cosplay?

Rirurun: To express Biwa Hayahide's characteristic rich hair, I wear a wig made by sewing together 4.3 wigs. It doesn't feel heavy when worn, but it is quite heavy to hold. Since I have naturally curly hair myself, I strive to set the wig to achieve the "ideal form of beautiful curly hair."

When I see photos taken by photographers with the hair looking beautiful, I feel incredibly happy. As an aside, the remaining 0.7 parts of the wig are used for the tail and the braided part of the Christmas costume wig.
