"The numerous attention to detail incorporated into the cosplay of Stella from "Gundam SEED DESTINY," which is not just an approach of needle and thread"

On July 27, 2025, at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, the "Wonder Festival 2025 [Summer]" was held. We posted pictures of Ms. Piano who participated in cosplay of Stella Loussier from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY" and interviewed her about her favorite aspects of cosplaying and future cosplay plans.

——What prompted you to want to cosplay as Stella Loussier from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY" this time?

Piano: I had been cosplaying as Stella for a while, but I was in the process of making some adjustments to the costume. Since the outfit was a bit too cold for winter, I had a hard time showcasing it. So, I decided to wear it for this Wonder Festival! The parts of the costume like the belt and boots, I wanted to try something beyond just needle and thread, especially since it was for Wonder Festival.

—— What were the points you wanted to express or like about this cosplay?

Piano: I was very particular about the unique form of the wig. I took my time to make it so that it becomes Stella from any angle, and I like it.

The selection of belt material, the ingenuity of the boot's mouth, the way the front part and hem of the costume fit together, and the overall length and balance are all areas where I was careful to be faithful to Mr. Hirai's (*) design and to align with the world view of SEED.

Also, Stella is blonde but she's a fluffy character, so I'm careful not to make the makeup too strong, such as not using black. I change all the cosmetics from the base to match the character, so that's another area I'm very particular about.
