Though Akira is usually shy and reserved, in this desperate situation she appears to have steeled her resolve, declaring, “I have to do this...!” She orders Sakamoto and the others to take off their clothes, saying, “Sewing is a bit of a specialty of mine...!” and—with astonishing speed—stitches the clothes together midair to create a parachute. Thanks to this improvised parachute, Sakamoto and the others are able to safely reach the surface.
