Special Interview Book, the 4th Theatergoer Gift for “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba,” to Be Distributed Starting August 30 (Saturday) as a Token of Appreciation

The fourth theatergoer appreciation gift, the “Special Interview Book,” will be distributed for the film “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle,” which has been screening in theaters nationwide since July 18. In addition, a special limited admission gift for the 4D version screenings has also been decided.

The anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is an adaptation of the manga of the same name, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020. Following its anime broadcast that began in April 2019, it caused a social phenomenon, and the total print run of all 23 volumes of the comic series exceeded 220 million copies.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train,” which depicts the “Mugen Train Arc” following the first TV anime series “Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc,” earned a worldwide box office gross of approximately 51.7 billion yen and became the highest-grossing film in Japanese box office history. From 2021 to 2022, the “Mugen Train Arc” and “Entertainment District Arc” were broadcast as TV anime, followed by the “Swordsmith Village Arc” in 2023 and the “Hashira Training Arc” in 2024.

“Infinity Castle — Part 1” drew 3.84 million viewers and grossed 5.52 billion yen at the box office in its first three days, breaking previous records for opening weekend, first day, and single-day performances in history. In the initial 10 days of its release, the film surpassed around 12.87 billion yen in revenue. Reaching the 10 billion yen mark within just eight days of release marks the fastest ever for a film released in Japan, surpassing the record set by “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Mugen Train” (released October 2020), making it No. 1 in Japanese box office history.

It has now been decided that the “Special Interview Book” will be distributed as the fourth theatergoer appreciation gift for the nationally released “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle.”

The book includes interviews in which the following three pairs discuss “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle”: Natsuki Hanae and Takahiro Sakurai and Akira Ishida; Hiro Shimono and Yoshimasa Hosoya; and Saori Hayami and Mamoru Miyano. Distribution will be limited to a two-week period.
