The gentle touch of Jinshi (voiced by Takeo Ōtsuka) conveys his deep affection for Maomao (voiced by Aoi Yūki)—a sentiment that surely made the hearts of many viewers flutter during a scene from Episode 47 of the anime "The Apothecary Diaries," where Jinshi gently reaches out to the sleeping Maomao.

Episode 47 shows that after the battle with Shishou (voiced by Chō) and the other rebels ends, Jinshi immediately goes to see Maomao. Although Jinshi himself is injured, his concern for Maomao is even greater. He softly strokes her sleeping hair and murmurs, “If I hadn’t been here, you wouldn’t have had to go through this…”
