In the latter half of the program, the "2025 Summer Anime Song Special" was delivered. In the YouTube view ranking, “Kakumei Dochu,” the opening theme of “Dandadan” Season 2 sung by Aina The End, surpassed Creepy Nuts and Ano to claim the first place, with over 5.55 million views, showcasing its popularity.

Furthermore, while watching notable songs from summer anime in the studio, a discussion unfolded. Regarding Spira Spica’s “Ao to Kirameki,” the opening theme of “My Dress-Up Darling” Season 2, Iwai enjoyed the fast-paced song, passionately explaining, "I love anime with scenes where characters are depicted falling in the visuals." Regarding the theme song "Seishun Eien" (Shonan no Kaze feat. ATARASHII GAKKO!) of "Grand Blue" Season 2, it was enthusiastically discussed with comments like "I want to sing it at the third karaoke stop," and "I want it to play on the beach," and Kimura also praised it, saying, "It has the 'Grand Blue feel,' and it's a wonderful song that ends on a high note."

Additionally, regarding ClariS's "Umitsuki," the opening theme of “Rent-A-Girlfriend” Season 4, Nakamura commented from a professional perspective, "The A and B melodies are simple, but the rhythm suddenly becomes difficult in the chorus, which catches the ear." To this, Iwai praised, saying, "As expected of a singer," which impressed the studio.

Moreover, Nakamura shared an episode from his high school days, saying, "I had no eyebrows back then," surprising Iwai and Kimura. Other highlights included recommended songs by Tower Records staff and a classic theater special on "Full Metal Panic!", making it a one-hour segment where viewers could fully feel the charm of anime and the power of music.

The next episode of "SHIBUYA ANIME BASE" will feature an in-depth special with the editor-in-chief of the magazine "Newtype" and a special on the work "Princess Tutu" directed by Junichi Sato.
