The anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is based on the same-named manga serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday", written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. Set in the world "after" the demon king was defeated, the story follows Frieren, a witch who has lived for over 1000 years, on her journey to "understand humans". The original comics, which have won numerous awards and have gained immense support and recognition, have exceeded a total of 30 million copies as of the 14th volume. It has been decided that the second season of the anime will be broadcasted on the Nippon Television Network from January 2026.
