The anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is based on the manga of the same name, serialized in "Weekly Shōnen Sunday," written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. The story unfolds in a world after the demon king's defeat, following Frieren, a mage who has lived for over a thousand years, as she embarks on a journey to understand humanity. The original comic series, which has won numerous awards and gained immense support and acclaim, has surpassed 30 million copies in circulation across 14 volumes. The second season of the anime is set to air on Nippon TV starting in January 2026.
