During the simulwatch, Makoto Koichi (Lloyd) and Kaede Higuchi, who performs the opening theme, appeared and engaged in a talk in an "audio commentary style." Kaede Higuchi Talks About Her Feelings Toward the Opening Theme “CALLING†” and Makoto Koichi’s Shocking Improv Episode

First, Makoto Koichi (Lloyd) and opening theme artist Kaede Higuchi provided audio commentary for episodes 13 and 14 (Season 2, Episodes 1 and 2).

As they raised voices of delight, saying things like “The direction here is amazing,” and “That gave me goosebumps!” while appreciating the detailed animation, both of them became engrossed in the foreshadowing and depth of the direction that they could only notice now, not during their first viewing. Higuchi also talked passionately about her favorite character, Saria, and enjoyed hypothetical talks such as “What magic would you like to use?” Amid the excitement, Koichi also revealed some behind-the-scenes stories.

Koichi shared that Lloyd’s monologue scene in episode 14 was “completely improvised.” She confessed that at first, she struggled with what Lloyd should be mumbling during the battle. Preparing for the recording by thoroughly analyzing Lloyd’s character, Koichi reflected, “It was really fun to think about Lloyd’s feelings. Because I’ve been running alongside him since Season 1, I think I was able to do it this time.” Higuchi was amazed, exclaiming, “That’s amazing!” and “You and Lloyd are really one and the same!” giving her a round of applause.

Asked about her feelings upon first seeing the Season 2 opening sequence, she said, “There were some comedic scenes and moments where you think, ‘Who is that person?’ The OP truly captures the essence of ‘I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince’ Season 2, so I was really happy.” When asked about the challenges of recording, she replied, “I haven’t talked about this in detail yet, but... I wrote the song with not only Lloyd’s perspective in mind but also considering the feelings of other characters as well. For Season 1, I sang in Lloyd’s shoes, but this time, I wanted to include the past and feelings of various characters too, which was the difficult part.”
