Showtaro Morikubo x Nobuhiko Okamoto x Masaya Fukunishi Take On Popcorn With Cricket Powder, Doubanjiang & Matcha Flavors!

■Popcorn Taste Test! Challenging Cricket Powder, Doubanjiang & Matcha Flavors

In the segment "Let’s Decide Our No.1 Popcorn!", the hosts tasted various flavored popcorns and picked their favorite among them. Masaya Fukunishi spoke about movie theater popcorn, stating, "Since I like half-and-half, I go for salt and caramel. I wash it down with ginger ale." Nobuhiko Okamoto added, "I ate it while watching 'Kokuho.' Sour Cream Onion and Polinky flavors." 　

Showtaro Morikubo was the first to try the Plum Bonito (Ume Katsuobushi) flavor and exclaimed, "This is dangerous! It’s so addictive!" Okamoto commented, "A taste perfect for summer." As they continued tasting salt and caramel flavors, Fukunishi selected the cricket powder option and gave a somewhat reserved review: "Um, it’s kind of powdery." Okamoto added yukari to the plum bonito flavor and remarked, "Maybe it’s better as it is." Morikubo tried adding olive oil to truffle salt, and Okamoto evaluated it, saying, "It’s delicious!!" When he then added garlic paste, Okamoto shouted, "Bad boy! So good!" Fukunishi also gave his best "bad boy" look, and the trio unanimously gave it high marks.

Fukunishi’s choice of matcha and honey was surprisingly well received, with Okamoto saying, "It has a very Japanese feel!" Additionally, Okamoto tried drenching his popcorn in chocolate sauce, later commenting, "This is just plain chocolate!" Morikubo tested doubanjiang, while Okamoto remarked, "If we could balance it a little more or add something ..." Morikubo then added oyster sauce for a Chinese twist, but after tasting, he said, "Maybe you shouldn’t do that," though after adding curry, everyone agreed, "Curry brings everything together!"

Finally, the three decided on the tastiest flavor, with Truffle Garlic being chosen as the No.1 popcorn. The three hosts shared their thoughts: "It was the strongest, wasn’t it?" "That was delicious," celebrating the moment the "ultimate popcorn" was created.
