The anime "The Shy Hero and the Assassin Princesses" is based on the manga of the same name by original creator Norishiro-chan and illustrator Yukiji Setsuda. It is a "harem death-comedy" about Toto, a hero with extreme social anxiety who faints whenever he gets nervous, and three beautiful women who each have their reasons for targeting his life.

[Synopsis]
Toto and his group arrive at the fishing village of Angeln. With no missions to worry about, they enjoy a day at the sea until B-ranked adventurer Flesnil and his follower Koshta appear. Flesnil, who loves recruiting people he likes, starts courting Gore, leading to a tense standoff with Toto. However, Gore declares she wants them to fight over her and promises to follow the winner of the village's famous seaside sumo tournament. Meanwhile, Anemone sees this as an opportunity to eliminate Gore from the party and decides to participate.
