I focused on dieting to properly build muscle... My cosplay of Jolyne from 'JoJo' received more compliments than I expected.

——What aspects did you focus on for this cosplay?

Ronji :In preparation for playing Jolyne, I went on a diet. However, rather than just losing weight, I focused on building muscle! Although I couldn't quite achieve the ideal look for my abs in time, I think I managed to get a good tone in my arms and shoulders. Honestly, I wanted to aim even higher, but oh well!

I also paid attention to how I used my body in my posing. I was always mindful of keeping my abdominal muscles tense to create a beautiful body line, but I also focused on the curve of my body, posing with the idea of extending it, and making sure my gaze was strong like Jolyne's.

——Please share when and how you first encountered "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" and what aspects you find particularly appealing about it.

Ronji : The catalyst was a friend's passionate recommendation. I started watching "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" last year, beginning from Part 1, and finally finished Part 6, "Stone Ocean," earlier this year. So, I'm quite the newcomer to "JoJo" (laughs).

Although it's difficult to express, I was delighted to actually see phrases like "←To Be Continued" and "But I refuse", which are often seen in the otaku world. I wondered why I hadn't watched it until now, as it was so interesting. It's an excellent work that has a strong fan base, and I could see why it has such a strong following!

——You're totally hooked, aren't you? By the way, have you found a favorite character yet?

Ronji : When it comes to having a favorite character, there are so many captivating ones that it's hard to choose just one. However, among them, Jolyne stands out as a female protagonist. I find parts of her relatable, and I admire her growth and strength. That being said, all the characters are truly fascinating, making it difficult to pick just one!
