The "Rascal Does Not Dream" anime series is based on the popular light novel by Hajime Kamoshida, which has sold over three million copies. It's an adolescent fantasy where the protagonist, Sakuta Azusagawa, encounters girls who manifest their complex adolescent emotions as mysterious "Adolescence Syndrome" phenomena. The TV anime "Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai" aired in 2018, followed by the theatrical film "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl" in 2019. In 2023, the movies "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid" and "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out" were also released.

[Synopsis]
Sakuta finds a picture of a "Miniskirt Santa" on the website for the beauty contest his friend Takumi Fukuyama was watching. However, under the photo is not the name of Toko Kirishima but of another girl named Nene Iwamizawa. As Sakuta continues to investigate Toko Kirishima, Sara Himeji offers her assistance. Thanks to Adolescence Syndrome, Sara exhibits a symptom that lets her read the thoughts of those she comes into strong contact with, so she already knows that Sakuta is searching for Toko Kirishima. Together, they propose reading the mind of the Miniskirt Santa during the live stream of a new song set for Christmas Eve.
