They’re Cremating Him Before He’s Even Dead!? The Result of Nezuko’s “Cremation” on Poisoned and Weakening Tengen in “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”

Nezuko Kamado (voiced by Akari Kitō) performed a “living cremation” on Tengen Uzui (voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi)…!? With Tengen on the brink of death from a demon’s poison, Nezuko’s unexpected action changed his fate.

In episode 11 of the anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc,” Tengen was pushed to death’s door by the poison of Upper Rank Six demon, Gyutaro (voiced by Ryota Osaka). Resigned to his fate, he began to leave his last words to his three wives, saying: “Before the end…there’s something I have to say. My life until now…”

However, Suma (voiced by Nao Toyama) interrupted him with loud sobs, shouting, “If Lord Tengen dies, I’ll never pray to the gods again!”

Makio (voiced by Shizuka Ishigami) scolded her, “Quiet down! Lord Tengen is trying to speak!” But this sparked an argument between the two: “I’ll stuff your mouth with stones, you fool!” “Makio-san is bullying me!”

A bewildered Tengen thought, “Is this for real… Am I really going to die without leaving a single last word…?” Just then, Nezuko appeared out of nowhere and touched his arm. Suddenly, Tengen’s body was engulfed in flames. His wives panicked, exclaiming, “No matter what, this cremation is way too soon!” However, Tengen recovered completely. It seemed that Nezuko’s Blood Demon Art burned away the poison.
