The rampage of the demon Nezuko (voiced by Akari Kito) was halted by the love of her deceased mother. Episode 7 of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc" features a tear-jerking scene where the lullaby sung by Kie Kamado (voiced by Houko Kuwashima) saves Nezuko.

In this episode, Nezuko's demonization progresses, and she enters a berserk state. Tanjiro Kamado (voiced by Natsuki Hanae) desperately tries to stop her, but even his voice no longer reaches Nezuko.

As Tanjiro quickly sings a lullaby, memories of her childhood resurface in Nezuko's mind, where her late mother Kie sang "Little Mountain Rabbit" while they walked together. Young Nezuko innocently asks, "Are big brother's eyes red because you ate red berries when I was in your tummy?" To this, Kie kindly smiles. Remembering her mother, Nezuko bursts into tears, and after crying for a while, she curls up and falls asleep.

The lullaby by Kie has sparked reactions online, with comments like "The mother's singing voice is incredibly beautiful," and "Kuwashima's lullaby is so gentle and beautiful, it's no wonder it broke Nezuko's demonization." Many viewers were also charmed by the sight of Nezuko sleeping peacefully, commenting, "Little Nezuko is just too cute!"

The "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" anime series is based on the manga of the same name by Koyoharu Gotoge, which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 2016 to 2020. It depicts the story of a boy named Tanjiro Kamado, whose family was killed by demons, set in the Taisho period.

The TV anime "Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc," which began airing in April 2019, quickly became a sensation, and its sequel, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc," grossed over 50 billion yen worldwide. The original manga's total worldwide circulation has now reached 220 million copies, making it a groundbreaking hit in the history of Japanese manga and anime.

Following the "Unwavering Resolve Arc," the TV anime has aired "Entertainment District Arc," "Swordsmith Village Arc," and "Hashira Training Arc." The final episodes, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle," have been announced as a trilogy. The first chapter, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle - Chapter 1: Akaza’s Return," released on July 18, 2025, has recorded over 31.4 billion yen in box office revenue in just 52 days.
