The latest season of the TV anime "MF Ghost" (original work by Shuichi Shigeno) has been confirmed to air as its 3rd Season starting from January 2026, and the newest teaser visual has been released.
"MF Ghost" is an anime adaptation of the popular car racing manga that was serialized in “Weekly Young Magazine” (Kodansha) from 2017 to February 2025. The compiled manga volumes have exceeded a cumulative total of 7 million copies in circulation. Set in a near-future world after "Initial D," it depicts heated car races on real public roads. The anime is also generating buzz for its star-studded cast including Yuma Uchida, Ayane Sakura, and Hiroshi Kamiya.
In the 2nd Season, Kanata faced a tough battle in the MFG's 3rd Round "The Peninsula Manazuru" final, struggling after losing second gear. However, in the upcoming 3rd Season, he sets out for revenge, saying, "I can't finish this race until I overtake all the cars that have overtaken me up to now."
