"I Threw Away Hundreds of Thousands of Yen!" What Was Saori Onishi’s Wasteful Spending Caused by Her Laziness? Hiyori Miyazaki Makes First Appearance

On ABEMA, episode #16 of "Say You To Yo Asobi Sunday [Saori Onishi × Maria Naganawa]" aired on August 31, 2025 (Sunday) at 10 p.m. In this broadcast, Yu Serizawa was absent, and Saori Onishi appeared as a substitute MC for the first time in about three years.

Furthermore, Hiyori Miyazaki made her first appearance from the anime "Food Court de, Mata Ashita." In the corner titled "Want to Know More! The Manual of Saori Onishi & Hiyori Miyazaki," little-known sides of the two were revealed, and in the collaboration project with the anime, "Food Court de Taikechuda," the three competed in three food court-themed challenges.

In the "Want to Know More! The Manual of Saori Onishi & Hiyori Miyazaki" corner, Onishi and Miyazaki's daily routines and unexpected sides were brought to light. In particular, when asked, "What was your most wasteful spending ever?" Onishi answered, "Mouthpiece orthodontics," explaining, "I took impressions of my teeth and made about 20 mouthpieces, but I got tired of wearing them halfway through and quit. My teeth gradually shifted back to their original positions, and eventually, the mouthpieces didn’t fit anymore... I basically threw away a huge sum." When Miyazaki asked, "How much, by the way?" Onishi revealed, "Hundreds of thousands of yen! I threw away hundreds of thousands!" and commented, "You should never quit mouthpiece orthodontics halfway!"

On the other hand, Miyazaki answered, "Transportation expenses," and explained, "I get bored extremely easily, so walking the same route stresses me out. I purposely take detours or change trains at unnecessary stations, which just adds to my transportation costs." Onishi and Maria Naganawa were left bewildered, responding, "What do you mean!?," and "I don't get it!"

Additionally, regarding how to deal with feeling down, Miyazaki shared, "I look back at saved screenshots of happy replies or letters from fans," and Naganawa empathized, saying, "I think looking back at happy memories is great!" Miyazaki added, "I'm the type who grows with praise! When I receive kind words from fans, I look at them intently!"
