A Full-Fledged Love Story in the Age of AI! P.A.WORKS’ New Anime “Dusk Beyond the End of the World” Episode 0 Synopsis and Preview Stills Released

Preview stills and synopsis of Episode 0, "Count the Morning in Your Heart, One, Two," the prologue of the story from the TV anime "Dusk Beyond the End of the World," have been released.

The story is set in a future world where AI technology has advanced. The protagonist, Akira (voiced by Shūichirō Umeda), who has pledged his love to his beloved partner, Towasa (voiced by Ai Kayano), awakens from a long period of cold sleep to find a war-torn city spreading out before his eyes. In front of him appears a humanoid android named Yūgure (voiced by Yui Ishikawa), who closely resembles Towasa, and urges him to marry her. Although Akira is confused, he chooses to embark on a journey with Yūgure, believing that he will be able to reunite with Towasa, who should still be alive somewhere in the world. During their travels, the two encounter new forms of love unique to this era, and begin to reflect on what their own love means.

The TV anime will begin airing nationwide simultaneously across 28 MBS/TBS Network stations in the “Super Animeism TURBO” slot every Thursday at 24:26, starting September 25 (Thursday). The series will also be available for free streaming on ABEMA every Thursday at 24:56 from September 25 (Thursday).
