Kobayashi: Yes, especially in the first episode, during interactions with Hikaru’s friend and the current Hikaru, I really felt that. There were moments where I thought, "Wow, it changed instantly."

—— Was it because you two have worked together in other projects?

Kobayashi: Umeda-kun is very considerate, and I could feel that he was waiting for my lines.

—— Umeda-san is a considerate person, isn’t he?

Kobayashi: I tend to be that way too, but Umeda-kun might be even more considerate. It could be because he’s my junior.

—— So you both are similar in that regard?

Kobayashi: Yes, but with Umeda-kun, I don’t worry about overlapping performances and can deliver my lines boldly. I might have achieved that performance because of Umeda-kun.

—— You trust Umeda-san, don’t you?

Kobayashi: If the other actor isn’t the type to read the atmosphere, I might adapt by reading it for them. But in '#TheSummerHikaruDied', my performance might be tailored to match the synergy with Umeda-kun.

—— So you adjust like that?

Kobayashi: Yes, it’s like subtraction or addition.
