When the Ghost Story Begins, the Lights Suddenly Go Out... Anime "Tougen Anki" Episode 12 Synopsis & Preview Released

The synopsis and preview cuts for episode 12 of the anime "Tougen Anki" have been released.

"Tougen Anki" is based on the manga by Yura Ushibara, which is currently serialized in Weekly Shōnen Champion (Akita Shoten) and has surpassed a cumulative circulation of 4 million copies. Inspired by the classic Japanese folktale "Momotaro," the story depicts the conflict between those who have the blood of Oni (demons) and those descended from Momotaro.

Shiki Ichinose (voiced by Kazuki Ura) was living as an ordinary boy when he was suddenly attacked by a mysterious man belonging to the "Momotaro Agency." While fleeing with his adoptive father, he discovers that his pursuers are descendants of Momotaro, and shockingly, that he himself carries Oni blood. This is a modern tale of the descendants of Momotaro and Oni, a very different story from the old folktale that began "Once upon a time, there was an old man and an old woman..."
