“Chiikawa” is a popular manga series by illustrator Nagano, which began serialization on X (formerly Twitter) in 2020. It has won the Grand Prix in both the “Japan Character Award 2022” and the “Japan Character Award 2024,” announced in July 2024. The gap between its tiny, cute characters and the harsh worldview has brought widespread popularity among adults and children alike, amassing over 4.26 million followers to date.

The new series of the “Chiikawa” anime has been airing as part of Fuji TV’s “Mezamashi TV” since July 15, 2025. In addition, on July 28, the hands-on facility “Chiikawa Park” opened at Ikebukuro Sunshine City Annex.
