The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime series is based on the manga of the same name by Koyoharu Gotoge, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2016 to 2020. Set in the Taisho era, it tells the story of Tanjiro Kamado (voiced by Natsuki Hanae), a boy whose family is slaughtered by demons, and his ensuing battles.

The TV anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc” began airing in April 2019 and quickly became a sensation. Its sequel, “Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train,” surpassed 50 billion yen in global box office revenue. Following the “Unwavering Resolve Arc,” the TV anime has aired the “Entertainment District Arc,” the “Swordsmith Village Arc,” and the “Hashira Training Arc.” For the final episodes, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle” has been announced as a trilogy. The first chapter, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle - Akaza Returns,” which has been showing since July 18, 2025, has grossed over 34 billion yen in just 66 days.
