The “Evangelion” series will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a real-world event, “EVANGELION:30+; 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION,” to be held at Yokohama Arena in February 2026.

“Neon Genesis Evangelion,” which became a social phenomenon with its TV broadcast in 1995, was rebooted in 2007 as the “Rebuild of Evangelion” film series. “Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone,” “Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance,” “Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo,” and the concluding “Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time” were all released to great acclaim.

This festival event will divide Yokohama Arena into two main areas: the “EVA EXTRA 30” area, where visitors can walk through various exhibits, and the “STAGE AREA,” which will offer a variety of stage entertainment. Exclusive content and experiences illustrating both the past and future of “Evangelion” will be presented here.

The creative direction for the venue will be overseen by creators from Studio Khara. The exhibition area, “EVA EXTRA 30,” will center around a massive six-sided LED monitor structure called the Central Tower. Surrounding it, there will be a virtual camera studio, an anniversary park, and a lounge where guests can enjoy talks and other content featuring people involved with the “Evangelion” series, as well as various other experience-driven zones.
